Food and service were excellent! Lovely decor - the only downside was the limited parking.

Dinner for 3. - Ambiance (3*) Spacing of tables was a little tight, and while clean, it felt nondescript. - Service (2*) It started off really strong, but a few major issues in the second half. First, one of the servers, who seemed to know the guests seated right behind me, decided he would stay and chit chat. Because the tables are so close together, he was quite literally almost in my space. And he was talking really loudly, making it very difficult for people at my table to hear each other. Second, our waitress seemed to disappear after the entrees. We probably waited about 20 mins for her to clear out and ask if we wanted dessert. - Amuse: Arancini, Lemon Burrata (5*) Perfect bite size. Delicate arancini, great texture contrast with the burrata. A slight hint of lemon. Great start. - Cornbread, $9 (4*) Great texture and crumb, loved the butter. While I kind of liked that it was sweet, it bordered too sweet for me. - She Crab Soup, $18 (4*) Great flavor, velvety texture in the soup. Found a few pieces of shell in my crab meat- clearly fresh picked but harder to eat! - Scallops, $18 (3*) Beautiful presentation, but the scallops were a tad mushy, and the bacon marmalade ever slightly burned. - Queen Snapper, $55 (4*) Loved that the catch was something other than red snapper or grouper. Beautifully grilled piece of fish. The accompaniments were a little lackluster? And one note. Kind of just a sour undertone. It needed some other flavor element. - Value (3*) Entrees were a tad expensive, but with us starting dinner at 5:30, we qualified for happy hour half off starters, which was pretty great. While the happy hour pricing took away some of the sting, taking a step back, the original prices are pretty elevated considering the portions. - Final Word Beautiful presentations all around. Clearly gifted chefs inside. Some small execution flaws. Hopefully the service improves. Will definitely return to see what the Fresh Catch is next time!

We were in Cocoa Beach and talking to friends when they told us about the Fat Snook restaurant. We stopped in on a Thursday night without a reservation and we were still able to be seated. We were trying to pick out a wine and the waiter "Casey" offered to bring a samples of a couple so we could make up our mind. The servers are well-versed on the menu and the specials and they can answer questions about all of the wines. They actually have a board with the servers favorite wines. For summertime, they have a prefix menu, $40 for I an appetizer, entree, and dessert. We also ordered a house, favorite called Mexican Street corn deviled eggs. The deviled eggs are absolutely wonderful and have a great little Mexican flare. If you go there, you have to order that as an appetizer. We also got an appetizer with our prefix menu orders and I had the she crab soup. My wife ordered the tomato tart. Both items were delicious and beautifully presented. We both ordered the halibut fish entrée . The halibut was a 5 ounce cut placed on top of a falafel with two different kinds of sauces. An olive tapenade , And a green sauce I want to say cucumber. The entire dish was incredible to look at and wonderful to eat. For dessert, we had a pineapple, chocolate moose, I think, and it was creamy and delicious. The toasted coconut on top really made it special. This place is small, but the employees have a passion for food. The service is top-notch and the ambience is great. From what I can tell everything on the menu is top-notch.

Probably the best restaurant on the island. The duck, on a bed of parsnips purée, was very good. A bit less purée, and no crasins on the plate, would have been perfect. The scallops and shrimp were dead on. Very good selection of wines. Not a full bar, but the wine mojito was also top notch. Service was excellent. Atmosphere is pleasant casual upscale. Parking is street. We found some. Would definitely come back.

Upscale food with a fantastic wine list and amazing service. 4.25 stars Food: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Service: 5 Cost to worth it rating: 3 (bit spendier for entrees but excellent quality) OpenTable-able: yes (I had my 1k reservation here!) Return worthiness: yes Highlights: - $40 summer special 3 courses had the night we were there which was a great deal. - Wines: stellar. Being from Northern California I was excited to see some lesser known wineries we've visited and really like represented (Failla, Elizabeth Spencer, etc). Also a very unique rose and super smooth Malbec. I was obsessed with the wine wall showcasing some staff picks. - Jerk shrimp: spot on tasty Caribbean flavors with shrimp cooked just right. A lot of plantain mofongo was a bit starchy so couldn't eat that all. 4 stars - Cornbread: cakey with a moist texture and crispy top. Nice sweetness to it. Delectable. 4.5 stars - Key lime pie: tangy base, crumbled gingersnap crust, and super tall merengue. Made my top 3 in the area (I've tried a lot). 4.5 stars - Steak on main menu: my steak connoisseur son gave it. 4 stars - Bavette steak in the 3 course menu: my hub said it was ok and gave it 3.5 stars. - Staff: super friendly and helpful. Casey was fantastic in trying to pick out wines and bringing me a few tastes. - Classy: start with a amuse of carrots and asparagus on a large spoon Midlights: - She crab soup: good flavors with a pile of crab meat on top and soup not too rich, but did find a few tiny shells in mine. 3 stars - The zucchini cake which came with the steaks had good flavor but was super mooshy instead of crispy on the outside. 3 stars Lowlights: - Not many options for non-seafood eaters - No standard bread for the table--only the corn bread - No liquor cocktails: only wine based Had a nice dining experience and loved trying all the wines so we'll be back.

We recently did a Florida staycation for my man's birthday that landed us in the Space Coast. With an array of divey beachfront joints to choose from, we decided to go against the tide and venture out for an intimate casually elegant affair at the Fat Snook. I really didn't know what to expect, but the menu stood out and looked compelling for this sleepy surfside town. The inside is eclectic and beach chic with servers in sailor stripes. After tasting a few wines we settled on a couple glasses of a Riesling and were greeted with a tasting spoon of a unique interpretation of the classic tuna tartare. We started with the roasted beet salad which was a work of art on the plate, and on the tastebuds and we also had the Caribbean corn bread which if you're going to go in for the carbs, this is a MUST. For dinner, in a departure from the norm the for us, we couldn't pass up on getting the same dish - their Fresh Catch #1 - a Mediterranean inspired preparation of Halibut with a falafel cake, blistered tomatoes, and a basil reduction if memory serves me right. Their plating is thoughtful and eye-catching. For dessert, the birthday boy couldn't make a decision, so we went with two: a key lime pie with a towering meringue and a chocolate coconut crust, and a decadent chocolate cake with a (tamarind?) caramel and interesting ice cream. This was not just our favorite meal in Cocoa Beach, it's also one of my favorite meals of all time. If you find yourself in the area, don't hesitate to check out this gem of a restaurant!

Came here for happy hour last night and it was probably the best time to go! It was very chill and not very crowded. Our waiter was attentive and gave great menu recommendations. We got an appetizer, 2 fresh catches, and a dessert and I definitely wanted more at the end because everything was so good. I can't wait to go back!

Let's start with that this was a fantastic meal and experience. Our waitress (from CO) was super attentive and as she described the different meals to such amazing details, it was very difficult to choose and say no to some of them. We got a few appetizers and I got a steak for the main course. That sauce that went with the meal was delicious and the crust on the mash potato just added another layer of flavor. The Parking is limited and advance reservations is highly recommended. I would definitely return!
